I'm Brooklyn Ann, and I write 4 different subgenres of romance: Historical, Paranormal, Contemporary, and Horror.

My horror works that don't have any romance are under the pen name, Brooklyn Ann Butler, to honor my late partner, who was a real-life romance hero whose support gave me the courage to write horror.

The one thing all of my books have in common is that my characters are either really eccentric, or damaged in some way, hence my tagline, "Love for the Broken and Strange."

I recently suffered the loss of my home and my partner in a natural disaster, so I'm extra broken, on top of being strange.

I live in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, a gorgeous small city nestled in a mountain valley and surrounded by lakes and rivers.

Before I became an author, I was a mechanic. I still love working on cars.

On top of writing, I'm also an artist.

I like doing scratchboards, drawing, painting, and making painted block quilts. Recently, I've had the honor of doing a scratchboard that is featured in Lividian Publications' Carrie Revisited: The Legacy of Stephen King's Girl with a Frightening Power and have gotten to do another art piece in their next Stephen King Revisited book.

Here's some of my work:
